NCSF awards 2007 scholarships
The National Cartoonist Society Foundation has awarded scholarship money to two Minneapolis College of Art and Design students, Christina Beard and Evan Palmer. Christina is specializing in character and game design and Evan is studying to be a traditional comic book artist. Both students are seniors.

NCS to honor Sandra Boynton with Milton Caniff Lifetime Achievement Award
The National Cartoonist Society will be honoring Sandra Boynton with its Milton Caniff Lifetime Achievement Award. Jeff Keane elected president of National Cartoonist Society
Jeff Keane, who works on his father’s Family Circus, has been elected president of the National Cartoonist Society beginning this year through 2009. Other members of the board include Dave Coverly, Bill Hinds, Rick Kirkman and Mike Lynch.
